Michael K. Crowley

Michael Kent Crowley, 54, Dekalb, IL, passed away on January 21, 2021 In Kane County Illinois from injuries sustained in a car crash. He was born April 28, 1966 in Springfield Missouri. He leaves behind his loving partner Amelia Alamia, Brother Tony (Debi) Crowley. Sons: Jonathan Kent Crowley, Michael Rowland. Grandchildren: Jaxston Michael and Johnathan Keith Crowley, Conner, Carter and Destiny, His Missouri family where he spent a large part of his childhood: Mom, Ethel Wilhelm, Sister Lori Thompson, brothers, Eric Wilhelm, Curtis Wilhelm. He is preceded in death by his Dad, Merl Wilhelm. He is survived by many family members, lots of cousins, and lots who never met him but always heard our stories about him. Mike was an outdoorsman from day one. He loved doing anything outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, frogging, gigging, swimming, sports, bike riding and anything that was outdoors. Mike spent many years working in the moving business Dan Hamingson, with Blackhawk shared some thoughts about Mike...“Mike started working at Blackhawk Moving when he was 17 or 18 years old. When he 1st started with us I could barely get two words out of him. Mike developed into an incredibly accomplished mover and packer. He became a favorite helper of owner operators often travelling over the road. Sometimes he would drift away from the moving business, but he always came back. Mike lived a complicated life but he was a loveable individual. We will miss him.” Services will be held Saturday January 30th 2021 at Cardinal Funeral Home, 7715 W Route 14, Crystal Lake. Service will be from 1 pm to 7. The eulogy will be at 6:00 - 7:00 pm
