Gheorghe Oaida

Gheorghe Oaida of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family November 25, 2025.  Beloved husband of Dorica; loving father of Angelica (John) and Ciprian (Rocsana); proud grandfather of Christopher, Robert, Brandon, Sebastian, Aimee and Lara; caring brother of Aurel (Valeria).  Gheorghe is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Cornelia, Aurica, Gratiana and Iosif. 

Gheorghe loved his family and will be greatly missed, he also loved the outdoors and animals. Ghita lived in Cisnadie, Sibu most of his life, he joined his children and grandchildren in Chicago for the past 25 years.

Visitation will be held Friday November 28, 2025 at 6pm at Sts Constantine and Helen Romanian Orthodox Cathedral.  Funeral Service will be at the church Saturday November 29, 2025 at 12:30pm.  Internment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
