Michael V. DeLisle

April 26, 1946 – June 10, 2025

Michael V. DeLisle, age 79, of Woodstock, Illinois, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 10, 2025.

Mike was born in 1946 and went on to build a fulfilling life centered on family, hard work, and creativity.

On September 14, 1985, he married Susan (Dahl) DeLisle, with whom he shared nearly four decades of love and companionship.

He graduated in 1964 from Wauconda High School and has maintained lifelong friendships from those days. He went on to start a career at Uarco, Inc. in Barrington, IL that spanned 35 years, working his way up from the mailroom to Computer Operations Management, a field in which he was known for his professionalism and attention to detail. Outside of work, Mike was a gifted woodworker, a classic car enthusiast, and a passionate builder spending cherished hours with his son Brad soaring the blue skies and even building an experimental aircraft. He enjoyed endless summer days boating on Crystal Lake with his family and friends, loved road trips, his motorcycle and camping. He took great pride in his Jeep Wrangler.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife Susan; his children, Michelle (DeLisle) Powell of Aurora, IL, Chris and (Genevieve) DeLisle of Bellingham, WA, and Bradley DeLisle of Woodstock, IL; his sister Diane (DeLisle) Lyle of Grayslake, IL; and his brother Craig and (Phyllis) DeLisle of Florence, KY. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren, great grand-daughter, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Geraldine DeLisle; his sister, Cheryl (DeLisle) Justy; and son-in-law, Ken Powell. Mike will be remembered for his sharp mind, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He leaves behind a life well-lived and memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Veteran’s Acres, Crystal Lake, in the Rotary Building in from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Interment will be private.
